A little background

Yorkshire born and bred, she has a keen interest in current affairs, wildlife, and the sky at night.

Paula became a publisher in the early 1990’s at a time when publishing was opening up to embrace new sections of the writing community, who, prior to these changes had been priced out of the industry. Highlights of her time in publishing include launching three new titles at Birmingham’s NEC, achieving core-stock status with Waterstones and last but by no means least meeting some of the most wonderful people it is possible to meet. Paula is married to screenwriter Garry Charles.

Trivia: Studied ‘A’ level Classics and was the only member of the class!
Has one husband, four children and five pets, pictured is one of the girls, Geoff.

Cathi has always worked with words and so the decision to move from journalism to publishing was an easy one to make, that career shift was twenty-five years ago.  Known for being a straight talker Cathi stands by her belief that freedom of speech is more important than hurt feelings or virtue signalling! The New Scientist remains her magazine of choice.

Trivia: Loves birds; dancing; wine and, of course, loves; LOVES  books. And her favourite quote is…
Let us read and let us dance; these two amusements will never do any harm to the world.’ Voltaire
